Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero – RC Stand-Off Scale Warbird Plans
61" Wingspan – For .60 to .90 Glow Engines
Full-Size Printed Plans for Radio Control

Graceful in flight and lethal in its prime, the Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero was the crown jewel of Japan’s WWII fighter force. This 61-inch wingspan stand-off scale model brings the Zero’s elegant lines and commanding presence to life in a well-balanced, glow-powered build for experienced modelers and warbird fans.

Designed for .60 to .90 glow engines, this model delivers smooth, confident performance with plenty of vertical authority and the unmistakable look of a classic Pacific Theater fighter. The 688 square inches of wing area provide stable flight and forgiving landings — while the larger size offers ample opportunity for scale detailing and custom finish work.

About the Model:

  • 61" wingspan, 688 sq. in. wing area for stable, predictable handling

  • Powered by a .60 to .90 2-stroke or 4-stroke glow engine

  • Designed for 4 to 5 channel radio control (throttle, elevator, rudder, ailerons; optional retracts)

  • Stand-off scale design balances iconic looks with simplified building techniques

  • Traditional balsa and plywood construction

  • Includes full-size printed plans and builder’s notes

This is a warbird with presence — a satisfying project for the winter bench and a rewarding flier for calm morning sorties or formation flights. The larger format makes it easier to track and admire in the air, while the simple, proven construction keeps it practical to build and fly.
